The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter. An appointment is required to meet an animal, donate items, or meet with us for any other reason.

Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- Go to our website www.derryhumanesociety.com and find the animal you are interested in and submit an application for that pet.
- Interview
- If you are a good match for the animal you are requesting, a volunteer will call and interview you over the phone.
- Meet the Pet
- A meeting will be set up with your family, the pet, and the foster family. If successful, a vet and home check will be done.

The Greater Derry Humane Society, Inc. rescues animals and places them in permanent loving homes. We do not maintain a shelter, all of our rescued animals are kept in foster homes until we can place them. We have a no-kill policy.
