My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Gloria and I'm a little kitty with a big personality! I love meeting new people and have loads of self-confidence so I'm happy to introduce myself, climbing into your lap and snuffling your face by way of greeting. I enjoy all the typical kitty toys and am usually up for some good fun! Have kids or another fun-loving animal at home? Sign me up! I'm just a hard-to-resist, perfect tabby cat ready to go home. Come visit me at Woods in Atascadero and fall head over heels in love why don't ya!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1955, Woods Humane Society is a nonprofit organization which receives no tax funds, but is supported by donations, grants, bequests, fundraising events and fees for services. Woods is independent of San Luis Obispo County Animal Services, but works in close cooperation with them and other animal groups in the county for the welfare of all animals.

Woods now cares for over 3,000 cats and dogs each year at our facilities in San Luis Obispo and Atascadero until they can be united with loving forever families. We bring in animals from other shelters where they are less likely to be adopted and from individuals who are no longer able to care for their pets. Woods is committed to finding loving homes for all healthy and treatable pets, no matter how long it takes. With our behavior and veterinary resources, we are able to go the extra mile for animals in need.
