My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bingo - Available for Adoption in New England and The Midwest!

After being found with her littermates in the woods of Mississippi, she is now happily settling into life as a loved house pup!

Bingo is estimated to be 4 to 5 months old and weighs about 32 pounds. She has done wonderfully at the vet and is up to date on vaccines and preventatives. She is already potty trained, crate trained, and knows sit, down, and off. She is food motivated, eager to learn, and would do great with continued puppy training.

Bingo loves people, enjoys kids of all ages, and plays well with other dogs who appreciate playful puppy energy. She has not met a cat yet, but with her young age and gentle nature, she would likely do well with a dog-friendly cat. One of her favorite things is snuggling, and she is always happy to be close to her people.

More about this rescue

Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption is an all-volunteer, non-profit (currently filing for 501(c)(3) status) rescue organization whose mission is to reduce the euthanasia rates and inhumane treatment of Labrador Retrievers in the Midwest and find loving forever homes for them.

Most labs that come into Lucky Lab Rescue are from shelters here in the Midwest. Most are at risk of euthanasia, usually due to overcrowded shelters. Labs are one of the most popular breeds of dogs due to their loyal and family oriented personalities. Labs are also one of the most overbred breeds and are the number one breed to be found in shelters. They also have one of the highest euthanasia rates. Some find it difficult that rescues can be breed specific, however, Lucky Lab Rescue and other lab rescues make a huge impact on euthanasia rates just by rescuing labs and lab mixes alone.
