My beautiful girl is unhappy in our home. We made a commitment to keep her healthy, safe, & happy, but we are struggling with the last one. She is a sensitive, scared cat that thrives in quiet, calm environments. We were able to offer her that for a number of years, but now with a 3 year old at home, our house is anything but calm and quiet. She was recently diagnosed with FIC. We are working to manage it, but with the activity at our house, she may need daily anti-anxiety medication. I would rather her not have to be medicated like that if another home could offer her a life without so much activity, which for her is stressful.
She has lived with a dog and 2 other cats. One she adored, one she tolerates, haha. She is kind to everything and everyone, but is always scared. She wouldn't hurt a kid, but she also does not want to be around them.
If we find her the right home, I will sob & miss her, but also will be so thankful she will have a chance at happier, quieter days.
