My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

**If you are interested in being considered for this dog, please be sure to complete an application directly on our website - not through a 3rd party service.**

Serene is a beautiful, playful, super sweet girl who will quickly steal your heart. She's an approximately 4 year old Chihuahua / Terrier Mix (We do not DNA test)   She is completely housebroken and knows basic commands. She gets along well with cats. Her foster home has three cats. She LOVES to go for walks and she walks well on a leash. If you like a good snuggle, Serene is your girl. An absolute cuddle bug, she’ll want to sleep right next to you if you’ll allow her to. We hope that Serene will find a furever home where she will be loved, pampered and spoiled because she truly deserves the best.

Serene is heartworm positive and will receive treatment at the rescues expense at one of our contracted vets.  Applicants should be within a 50 mile radius of our Elgin location and willing and able to take her for the treatment.  Potential adopters will speak with a member of our medical team prior to adoption to fully understand the treatment process

Serene’s adoption fee is $350.  This includes age appropriate vaccines, completed wellness visit,

Please review our adoption process & complete an application on our website - www.hoofwoofmeow.org/adoption   We adopt within 150 mile radius of Elgin, IL **We are a 100% volunteer rescue.  All of our dogs are in Foster Homes**Submission of an application does not guarantee adoption of any specific animal as they may have applications pending or might not be the right match.

Go meet their pets

Our rescue is foster based, therefore you will need to make an appointment to visit with any of our animals that are available for adoption.
Most of our adoptable animals come from high kill shelters. Occasionally we are given specific breed information on the animals, but more often, we have to make an educated guess as to breed or mixture based on size, color and physical characteristics.
