Meet Nancy! This sweet three-year-old Dachshund Chihuahua mix is officially ready for her forever home after successfully raising and weaning her puppies. Weighing only 14 pounds, Nancy is a true jewel with an affectionate temperament who absolutely adores people, though she can be a bit nervous around men until she builds a sense of trust. She is incredibly social and loves the company of other dogs, often going out of her way to visit with her friends in the neighboring kennels. A wonderful bonus for any adopter is that Nancy is completely house-trained and maintains a clean kennel, even while she was busy raising her little ones. Nancy is already spayed, microchipped, and current on all of her vaccines, which means she is fully prepared to transition into a loving household immediately. Our adoption fees do vary depending on the animal and all pets go to new owners already spayed and neutered, vaccinated and wormed. All adopters are given a two week adoption trial with an exchange guarantee if the animal does not work out. We require a completed adoption application, which is on line on our website, and a signed care contract. All pets go out with a copy of their signed agreement and a copy of their medical record. Fees for adult cats are $60-75 and kittens are $75. Fees for dogs are $125 to $200 for adult mixed breed up to $300 for purebred, small dog puppies.

Go meet their pets

TRACS offers appointments daily 1-5 PM during the week excluding Mondays to see and meet adoptable pets. Tracs also adopts cats and kittens from Petsmart in Missoula, Montana. We have adoption days for dogs and cats at Petsmart additionally about 6 times a year. We also attend annual adoption events in the Missoula and Kalispell areas of Montana.

TRACS has been in operation for 7 years and we have taken in and adopted out 3000 animals (as of 11/1/2013). We are mostly volunteers and pride ourselves on the fact that we have a new facility (small and humble but very comfortable) and have had for 2 years. We are a small budget organization and we receive no municipal or county support. We totally depend on donations to keep up our good work. We accept all donations of food, bedding, litter, or anything else that folks like to give us. Of course, monetary contributions are very much needed and are fully tax deductible.
