If you’re looking for a companion with a playful personality, head-to tail freckles, a wiggly butt, and an all-around sweet demeanor, I’ve got just the puppy for you! Meet Astro! Astro is a hound mix with a beautiful coat and a loving nature. He’s around 3-4 months old, and about 30 lbs. Astro is a big fan of the snow and an even bigger fan of sneaking kisses. He’s doing great with crate training, and making progress with house training. His favorite things so far consist of: playing with his doggie sister, playing with the human children, eating, ear rubs, and a good cuddle session. We will talk to you and your references to get a feel of what you're looking for in a pet and if the particular pet would be a good fit

This is required. We want to see where the pet will be living and it gives us an opportunity to meet you!

A meet and greet will be arranged after you have been approved as an applicant

More about this rescue

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.

We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments.

Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals. Paws Across Pittsburgh strongly believes in Force Free training methods for our animals.
