My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Matt – a handsome little tabby ready to steal your heart!

Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat

Matt and his sister Mary are gorgeous Agouti (or "ticked") tabbies who love to play and snuggle together. Matt has an adventurous little spirit and loves exploring his foster home and finding new toys to play with. He loves climbing cats trees and wrestling with his sister and foster siblings, getting into adorable kitten trouble!

When playtime is over, Matt really loves to curl up near his humans or his sister and snuggle. He loves butt scratches, nap time, and Churu treats!

Little Matt is an easygoing and fun kitty and will make a fantastic addition to almost any household. Are you looking for a unique, cuddly, and gorgeous new family member (or two)?! Matt could be the one for you!

Matt is ~8 months old, neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in great health. He does a great job of keeping his litterbox tidy. All he needs now is his forever home!

Matt and Mary aren't a bonded pair, but they sure would make an adorable twosome for anyone looking for double the fun, double the purrs, and double the love!

Matt has never met a dog, but with slow introductions to a calm, cat-savvy pup, we think he could learn to love a new dog friend.

Mary’s foster mates: Mike (M), Matt (M), Mindy (F)

ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES:
Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Also, when you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you’re doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee sponsors a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts!

Please use the application at the link above rather than submitting interest via the Petfinder website.

Once you have submitted your application at the link above, an Adoption Coordinator will reach out to you to set up an interview for approval to adopt.

Please note that submitting an application does not “reserve” a specific pet. If the pet you have applied for is no longer available, we will do our best to match you with another adoptable pet!

More about this rescue

ROSES (Reducing Overpopulation: Spay/Neuter Education & Support) exists to conduct outreach, community education, fundraising, and service navigation to encourage spay/neuter for dogs and cats in overpopulated communities.

"ROSES Rescues" is an offshoot of this mission that helps the strays, rescue transfers, and owner surrenders that our volunteers and partners encounter and need help matching with forever homes.

We are located in Houston, Texas and are a FULLY foster-based rescue with no physical shelter location. We proudly transport our kitties to wonderful adopters in the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, Colorado, and locations along those routes, so please feel free to check out our pets and see if we have a transport spot close to you!
