Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them.
When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.
Hi, I'm Willow, a beautiful one year old white GSD. I’m For the first year of my life I spent most of my time in a crate, and I didn't get the care or guidance a should have. When I was rescued, I weighed only 32 lbs and my paw pads were burned from me walking in my own excrement inside my crate. I was pulled from this awful setting and sent to a shelter, which was overwhelming and frightening for me.
Now I'm living in a foster home. Every day brings something to celebrate - clean surroundings, gentle voices, meals that come regularly and people who are patient with me.
Because of my past confinement, I'm discovering life the way a puppy does, with curiosity and caution, and I'm slowly building trust. My foster canine brother has become my anchor. I adore him and having him by my side helps me feel brave enough to try new things.
I'm hoping to find an adopter who won't baby me or feel sorry for me, because my past is behind me. I just need someone who will give me time, clear guidance, and steady love as I continue learning obedience, confidence, and how to exist in the world without fear. A home with an even-tempered and playful male canine companion would be ideal. Also, a home without small children is preferred, because I tend to think everything and everyone is a great chew toy option. My fosters are teaching me what's chewable and what's not.
I'm starting to become who I was meant to be. If you're willing to be patient , consistent, and kind, I promise to meet you with quiet devotion and a heart that's learning just how precious life can be. If you are interested, please go to adoptagsd.org and submit an online application. My adoption fee is $400.
Although we do our best to keep our adoptable animals page as current as possible, the animals you see may already be in an adoption process.
