My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Modo!

Joined us in: December 2025

About Modo:
• A very sweet, extra-large boy with a big puppy personality
• Loves food, treats, and soaking up affection and pets
• Friendly, social, and eager to interact with his people
• Knows some basics already — sit, paw, and down

His perfect match:
• A home with a fenced backyard and someone committed to ongoing obedience and leash training
• A confident, physically strong handler — Modo is a big guy
• Could live with another dog of similar size and energy who enjoys rough-and-tumble play
• Dog-savvy children would be best, as he’s large and still puppy-like
• Suitable for a first-time owner who is motivated to train and provide structure

Some extra facts about Modo:
• Highly food motivated, which will be helpful for training
• Cats may be possible with a proper, slow introduction
• Crate training is strongly recommended for structure
• Likely to become house trained quickly with consistency and routine

In short:
Modo is a giant sweetheart with a playful, puppyish heart. With training, structure, and a confident handler, he’ll grow into a wonderful companion for someone ready to embrace his size, energy, and loving nature.
