My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Chester is at The Cat Cafe in downtown San Diego. ***

Chester #20051: orange tabby & white, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 1/1/24

Cats: comfortable
Dogs: fine with cat-savvy
Children: all ages

BACKGROUND: Chester was very skinny and had a bad eye infection when he joined a group of community cats at their feeding station and was spotted by the colony’s caretaker, who then contacted a Rescue House volunteer on his behalf. Chester moved into foster care and filled out nicely once he had access to enough food. His eye has permanent scarring from how long it went without treatment and can be a little weepy, but he’s been doing great!

PERSONALITY: Chester is a big, sweet, and gentle boy who goes with the flow of life and doesn’t seem to let much bother him. He enjoys lounging around while keeping a curious and interested eye on the household activity. When you slow down a bit, Chester will rub against you to get attention; he likes to be close to you and is a friendly fellow though he isn’t clingy about it. Petting is wonderful and he’s a very good chill-natured companion!

COMPATIBILITY: Chester is comfortable with other cats as well as cat-knowledgeable dogs, though he of course appreciates some introduction time. We haven’t seen him around children, though with his personality expect that he would do well with kids of all ages who are gentle and respectful.

What a darling… will charming Chester join your family?
