My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mittens is a 5-year-old spayed female who has truly mastered the art of the cat nap. When she’s not snoozing the day away, she loves to perch by a window and quietly watch the world go by like it’s her own personal show.

She’s recently upgraded from being the only cat in the home to exploring the idea of a multi-cat household. Mittens can live with other cats as long as they’re calm, mellow, and respectful of her laid-back vibe. She may also be a great match for families with older kids (ages 4 and up) who know how to be gentle and give her space when she’s in relax mode.

If you’d like to add this sweet, sleepy window-watcher to your family, please contact the Hutchinson Animal Shelter to meet Mittens.

More about this shelter

Our shelter was built in 2007 for the City of Hutchinson. Our goal is to help cut down on the pet-overpopulation of Reno County and to place animals in furever homes!
