My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mittens: The Independent Diva

Solo Artist: Prefers to be the only pet at home, basking in undivided attention.
Selective Affection: Enjoys love on her own terms—delights in cuddles but will signal when she`s had enough.
Communicator: Gently swats to express overstimulation; it`s harmless and just her way of saying she`s done for now.

Suited for a quiet, peaceful home without young children.
Thrives in a well-mannered setting where her boundaries are respected.

Mittens is perfect for someone seeking a loving yet independent cat who appreciates quality time and personal space. She`ll be a steadfast companion in a tranquil home. Are you ready to meet this elegant lady?

More about this shelter

Our shelter was built in 2007 for the City of Hutchinson. Our goal is to help cut down on the pet-overpopulation of Reno County and to place animals in furever homes!
