My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pennington County Humane Society

Meet Bisket, an 8‑month‑old bulldog mix who arrived at Pennington County Humane Society through no fault of her own. Her previous owner made the heartbreaking decision to surrender her after ongoing safety concerns in the home — a young family member had harmed Bisket before, and she wanted to ensure this sweet girl would be safe and protected. Bisket came to us loved, and her owner truly wanted a better, safer future for her.

Bisket is a joyful, affectionate, high‑energy pup who adores people of all ages. She gets along wonderfully with cats, small animals, and dogs her size, though big dogs can be a bit intimidating for her. She's very social, attention‑seeking, and happiest when she's playing, snuggling, or hanging out with little dog friends.

She's still learning the ropes of housetraining and structure, and she'll thrive with someone who can offer consistency and patience. Bisket knows a couple of basic cues like 'stay' and 'bed,' and she's eager to learn more. Like many young dogs, she's working through puppy habits such as chewing, jumping, and separation anxiety — but she responds well to guidance and loves being close to her people. She did great at the vet and has no history of aggression.

Bisket is available for direct adoption or transfer to a trusted rescue partner who can help her continue growing into the wonderful companion she's meant to be. She'll do best in a home ready for a lively, loving youngster who needs training, structure, and lots of affection.
