My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Goose is a stunning, smart, and deeply loyal hound who needs the right environment to thrive. We adopted him 2 years ago after he was found starving and wandering. At first, he seemed to have never lived in a home — he didn’t know couches or cuddling. Today, he happily lounges, cuddles, and sometimes sleeps in our bed.
Goose is treat-motivated, knows commands, loves training games and scent work, and does best when he has a job. After daily activity, he has an excellent off-switch and typically sleeps from about 7pm–7am.
NOTE: Goose requires a hound-experienced home. He has a history of resource guarding around high-value items & needs clear boundaries and management. He startles if touched while in deep sleep and should be woken verbally. He cannot live with or be around intact male dogs but loves a pack.
Goose is vigilant and vocal, classic hound behavior. Our busy city with close neighbors and constant activity is not the right fit. He will thrive in a quiet, more rural environment
