My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Smudge — A Shy Little Shadow with a Sweet Surprise!

Smudge is a very shy but incredibly sweet kitty who prefers to observe the world quietly before jumping into the fun. Once he feels safe, his playful side peeks out, and you’ll catch him enjoying toys, treats, and cozy moments in his favorite hiding spots.

He’s searching for a quiet, indoor-only home with calm, respectful teens who understand that patience is key with a sensitive soul like his. Other cats are a must-have for Smudge — he finds comfort and confidence in feline friends (a slow introduction will help him settle in just right). Dogs are still a big question mark for this gentle guy.

Smudge’s dream setup includes:
Plenty of comfy hiding and nap spots for decompression time
Tons of toys, especially catnip and interactive ones
Cat trees & scratching posts for stretching and safe observation
Window perches for quiet birdwatching
Treats, wet food, and catnip — his favorite motivators

With patience, love, and a kitty buddy by his side, Smudge will blossom into the sweetest companion — a soft, playful shadow who’s happiest in a calm and loving home.
