My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Thunder!

Thunder and his brother Lighting were rescued right before the big rainstorms that swept through Southern California in late November. These two brothers love to do everything together and are very bonded.

Thunder is the more confident of the two brothers. He takes a bit of time to warm up, but once he is comfortable he loves to headbutt your hand and will melt in your lap. He loves to be pet and is obsessed with Churu treats.

Thunder might be small, but don't underestimate how high he can climb! He loves to hang out at the top of the cat tree and find little nooks to take a nap in. Puff balls and jingly toys totally absorb his attention. He loves to play with Lightning and they love to run around and play with their toys together.

Thunder and Lightning are a bonded pair who will need to be adopted together, but both have also gotten along with other cats in their foster home. They approach other cats slowly at first, but once they know it's safe, they love to snuggle up to them whenever they get the chance. Thunder and Lightning can be adopted into a home where there are already cats.

There is a reduced adoption fee for a bonded pair ($125 per kitten, $250 total, this is $50 less than our regular kitten adoption fee of $175).

They are neutered, vaccinated for Rabies, FVRCP (first 2 of 3 doses so far), microchipped, tested and are negative for FELV/FIV, and treated for fleas and dewormed.

***Thunder MUST be adopted with Lightning. No exceptions will be made to adopt only one kitten from this bonded pair. Thunder and Lightning are some of the most bonded kittens we have seen come through our rescue. They would do best together and due to their age, they also would need to have the other as a developmentally appropriate playmate. Thunder is the snuggly lap cat of the two brothers and Lightning looks to Thunder to see what is safe or not. Thunder loves to curl up in your lap and snuggle, and he loves to play.

More about this rescue

We are a coalition based cat rescue currently based out of Anaheim, California. Our coalition began as a small neighborhood group sharing responsibilities of taking care of the community cats in the neighborhood colony. At this time our coalition is the primary caretaker for two colonies and our goal is to foster and find adoptive homes for the friendly adults and juveniles, and to rescue the kittens born in the colony and get them vetted and adopted to good homes. We are a small coalition and we do not have a physical location, but we require meet and greets and/or home visits in order to adopt one of our cats.
