This helps San Diego Humane Society - Oceanside Campus (Cats and Small Animals) with pet care costs.
How this pet arrived:
Sassy was brought in by her previous owner on December 13, 2025.
Why this pet is the one for you:
Sassy didn't expect to be house-hunting at this stage of her life, but here she is - hoping to find a calm, understanding home. She's best suited for a quiet household without children or rambunctious dogs, where there isn't too much noise or fast activity. Sassy prefers a predictable environment with low foot traffic and a safe starter space to help her settle in and keep her litterbox habits on track. She can be sensitive to change and new people, so she'll need time, patience, and the chance to warm up at her own pace. Once she feels secure, she enjoys gentle brushing and soft pets, especially when adopters let her initiate interactions and respect her body language. Sassy is also a big fan of cozy hideaways (cabinets included!), which can help her feel safe as she adjusts. She has dental disease with a possible resorptive lesion and will need a dental procedure in the future, but it will all be well worth it as you see her sweet side come out! With patience, structure, and a peaceful environment, Sassy has the potential to be a wonderfully rewarding companion for the right home! A top-loading carrier is recommended for a smoother, less stressful trip home.
Shy/Fearful Cat: Sassy requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about her.
