My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

To adopt please fill out an adoption application.

Pepper is an 18 month old male Weimeraner mix who was surrendered by his owner in Memphis who can no longer keep him. Friendly and well socialized. Great with other dogs and would be happy with a dog buddy in his new home. Not cat tested. Great with kids. Medium-high energy level outside, quiet and well-mannered in the house. Housebroken and crate trained. Obeys basic commands.  Loves to be with his people.  Good on a leash, rides great in the car.  Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots, neutered, weighs about 75 pounds.  AWESOME young Weimeraner mix will make a wonderful companion (and jogging partner!)  for an active family who loves the breed.

All our Good Dogs are in southern foster homes.

More about this rescue

Good Dog Rescue is an all-breed rescue group headquartered in the South. Our group is comprised of volunteers all over the Southeast who love dogs and want to help those that end up homeless through no fault of their own. Loyal and loving dogs turn up every day in Southern shelters, as owners turn them in or they’re found roaming the streets after being dumped. To the best of our abilities, we evaluate all of our Good Dogs’ temperament and suitability for living with other dogs, cats, and children. A dog’s health is checked, and we make sure they are up-to-date on all shots and are spayed or neutered. Then, we place them in loving foster homes until they find their very own family. Our goal is to meet the needs of each dog as an individual and to assure proper placement in a loving forever home.
