My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kitty — Former Supermom, Current Lap Princess

Kitty is an active, curious girl with a playful spark and a whole lot of love to give. She enjoys exploring her surroundings, breaking out the occasional zoomies, and — surprise — being held like a baby. Yes, really. Despite being very young herself, Kitty is a devoted mom to three adorable kittens and has done an incredible job keeping them safe and cared for. She’s truly been a stellar mama… and now it’s her turn to be spoiled like the baby she still is at heart.

This girl is a certified lap princess who lives for attention and affection. She adores snuggling, soaking up love, and rolling around in catnip like it’s her full-time job. Head scratches are a must, and if you scoop her up and cradle her like a baby, she’s perfectly content. Kitty is also your built-in personal assistant — she’ll follow you to the bathroom, stand guard like a tiny security detail, and make sure everything is running smoothly. Bay window? Already claimed. Front-row seat secured.

Kitty would do great as a solo cat, enjoying all the attention for herself, or with a very laid-back feline friend who respects her need for personal space and her love of human companionship. She would also love to be adopted with one of her kittens — Draco, Helga, or Bellatrix. She would especially love to go home with her son Draco, they’d be a lively pair—he’s very active, and they love chasing and grooming each other. Together, they’d keep each other entertained and happy. Kitty would do best in a calm-to-moderately active home. Everyday noise and movement don’t bother her, but she appreciates having her boundaries respected. She’s affectionate and involved without being clingy — independent enough to chill, social enough to make you feel deeply loved.

Her past hasn’t always been easy. Kitty was previously an indoor/outdoor cat, experienced periods of being left alone for days at a time, and lived around larger dogs and other adult cats. Through it all, she handled everything like a champ. In her foster home, she lived comfortably with two large dogs — often rubbing up against them or cuddling nearby — and three adult resident cats. She got along well with everyone and, while understandably protective of her kittens, was always down to snuggle once she felt safe.

Kitty would likely do well in a home with children, especially kids who are gentle and respectful of cats. She’s affectionate, tolerant of handling, and loves attention, but she also benefits from having her boundaries honored when she wants space. She’s also a true foodie — wet food is her love language, and she’s even been known to sample organic sweet potato from Aldi. A curious little connoisseur, indeed.

Chatty, soft as a cloud, and endlessly charming, Kitty loves to chirp and occasionally meow-sing her heart out. Between the cuddles, conversations, window-watching, and her magical ability to teleport wherever you go (especially the bathroom), she’s basically the perfect roommate.

If Kitty had a superpower, it would be teleportation — because no matter where you are, she will appear to supervise, greet you, and make sure you’re doing everything correctly. Her future family will be so lucky to have this affectionate, resilient, hilarious little queen ruling their home.

Additional adoption info

Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines.  We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion!

Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level.  This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.

In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:
http://www.foreverfortunatefelines.org/adopt

Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.

Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day.  Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet.  We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier.  If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day.  If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home.  We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.

Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.  We are able to PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.

We have streamlined our adoption process to make it easy!  Everything from the application, to payment, to the contract is online.  Additionally, all of the cats records will be placed in your free Petlovers account at petstablished.com to keep organized.
