Hudson came in as a stray on 12/19/25, and we think he’s about 8 months old—and wow, is he all puppy! Big feelings, wiggly excitement, and a heart full of fun are all part of his charm.
The leash is still a little spooky to him, so he needed a lift to the playroom (being carried like a baby isn’t the worst thing ever 😄). But once he got there? Hudson flipped the switch and was ready to party! Toys? Yes please. Treats? Absolutely. Playtime? The best thing ever.
Hudson is playful, happy, and a total joy to be around. Since he’s still just a pup, he’ll need a family willing to teach him the ropes—basic manners, confidence, and all the things that turn a silly puppy into an amazing lifelong companion. With a little guidance and lots of love, Hudson is going to be fantastic.
He is available for adoption, so hurry in to meet him!

Our office is open Monday- Friday 8:30-4:30 and Saturdays from 10:00-2:00. Our kennels are closed on Mondays. The kennels are open Tuesday- Friday 11:00-4:15, Saturdays we open 10:00-1:45.

Did you know... The Richland County Dog Warden's Office & Adoption Center is self-funded and does not receive any tax paying dollars. Our revenue comes from dog license fees, adoptions, impound fees, and YOUR donations. You can send Donations by check or money order to the shelter: 810 N. Home Rd. Mansfield, Ohio 44906.
The shelter always accepts cash donations. However, there are always other things we need too. You can call it a wish list: Bleach, laundry detergent, Capstar flea tablets, Advantage flea drops, pet shampoo,Paper Towels, and sturdy collars and leashes for our dogs here at the facility and those going on transport to rescue.
