My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COOKIE is a sweetheart kitty who is very loving & chatty and loves to follow her human around to supervise all activities. We don't know why she was outside because she is soo nice and we can't imagine how anyone could have dumped her. She is a recent mommy cat and since she's now done weaning her kittens & her outside time was not kind to her, she is not really interested in making cat friends. She is estimated to be about 2 years old, easy to pick up and hold. Did we mention what a complete sweetheart she is? COOKIE is up to date on all vaccines, already spayed, microchipped, and litter box trained. She has tested positive for FIV & is negative for FelV. eDOB 11/21/2023

FIV+ cats adopted to indoor only homes live long, normal, happy lives and when they do pass it's typically from the same causes as any indoor cat. They can live safely and happily with non-aggressive spayed & neutered cats that have tested negative. FIV is only spread through deep bites in very aggressive fights where there is blood drawn, or through in-tact cats mating. FIV does not affect a cat's personality at all. FIV does not cause pain and FIV+ cats deserve the chance to live happily, be loved, & get adopted.
