He`s always the first to greet visitors with a wagging tail and an eager jump, showcasing his strong, confident nature. Despite his excitement, Hobi is also incredibly cuddly and loves to snuggle up after a day full of activities. His bravery, and stubborn streak make him a loyal companion who`s always ready to explore new horizons. He blazes ahead on a leash, expecting you to follow. He might be house trained but please give him time to adjust to a new home. Hobi`s friendly nature makes him a hit with teenagers. Although he tends to bark at cats, he`s incredibly playful with other dogs and wants to interact with every dog that catches his eye. Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

Citizens For Animal Protection, founded in 1972, is committed to sheltering, rescuing, and placing homeless animals in loving homes; advocating respect and compassion for all animal life; providing humane education to prevent animal cruelty; and raising awareness in the community of the needs of animals.
CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021. In 2021, CAP provided care for 10,260 animals; this includes animals surrendered by the public and transferred in from animal control agencies and rescue groups, animals already in the shelter and foster care program, feral cats trapped/neutered/returned and animals receiving vaccinations and other treatments in our low-cost vaccination clinic, The Cornelius Clinic.
