My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Artic! ❄️🐾
Born on 10/25/25, Artic is a happy, playful puppy who enjoys being part of the action but is also content doing his own thing. He loves food time and is very playful with the dogs in his foster home. Artic does well with the resident cats and has been around children, though he can be a bit nervous with kids and seems to shut down and shake when he's scared. He will benefit from a patient, understanding family.

Artic is about 85% potty pad trained and is currently learning stairs and going outside to potty. He sleeps in a crate and loves it, though the door is currently left open.

Artic is in an important puppy-raising stage, and continued socialization is essential. He is more sensitive to new environments than his littermates, so his future family should be committed to positive, confidence-building experiences as he grows.

Artic will need to complete his remaining vetting through Small Dog Rescue, so his adopter must be located in the Rochester, Minnesota area.

- Artic's adoption fee is $400 + MN sales tax.
- You must fill out an adoption application before you are allowed to meet the animal. Please complete the adoption application located on our website: https://smalldogsminnesota.org/adoption-application/
- Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philosophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, it must be charged.
- Please note that we do not have a shelter, and all dogs are in foster homes. Since we strive to provide the best possible care for our animals, sometimes we cannot answer emails promptly. Please allow 48 hours for us to respond to you.
- You must be 18 years of age to make an adoption request.

More about this rescue

Small Dog Rescue of Minnesota (SDR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit all-volunteer no-kill group committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of dogs 20 pounds and under.

Dogs are fostered in volunteers' homes so they can be loved like a family member until they are placed in a suitable adoptive home, determined by a review of a written application, a criminal background check, several reference consultations, and a home visit.
