My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I rescued Lucy when he was just a puppy. His first adopters got him from a humane society, but they ended up abusing him but despite everything, he was such a good dog. Later, I went on a trip and a close family friend watched him. Unfortunately, one of her dogs attacked him completely unprovoked, and since then, he hasn’t been the same around other dogs. He’s not truly aggressive just scared and it comes out as defensiveness. He needs someone with patience, grace, and the time to help him continue healing. He already knows basic commands, but he needs someone experienced who can train him further, especially with his fear around other dogs. He would do best with someone active—someone who loves walks, runs, park days, adventures, and travel. He needs to be the only dog in the home, and he truly thrives with women. He is absolutely a girl’s dog and will protect you with everything he has. As much as I love him, it wouldn’t be fair to keep him from a home that would be better for him.
