My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

• To meet or adopt Scout and Jem, please submit a Q&A for them on our website: http://goodhomepetadoptions.org/adopt We are not able to reply to DMs, emails or inquiries made through 3rd party pet adoption websites.
• Read more about Scout and Jem on Instagram at @goodhome_Scout_and_Jem
• Age: born 5/01/2025 (estimated)
• Temperament: sweet, social, playful; Scout (female) needs more time to warm up and Jem (male) is a little bolder, but both are cuddly and affectionate when they feel comfortable
• Scout and Jem are a bonded pair and MUST go to a home together and remain together after adoption.

Hi there! We are Scout and Jem. We came to Good Home and foster life when a nice human gave us yummy food and brought us into her home. Now we are having so much fun getting love, attention, toys, and treats – all the things that make kitten life great!

We are both playful kittens who love chasing balls, playing with the wand toy, and wrestling with each other. Jem even likes watching the cursor on the computer screen! We are happiest when we’re together, whether it’s playtime, cuddle time, or human time. We both love being with our human, giving headbutts and getting pats and scratches. Meal time is another thing we love and we’ll be sure to remind you when it’s getting near!

Both of us are very gentle and have never shown any aggression. When we’re scared we just hide! Jem is a little more confident – I have the cutest little trill when I’m requesting scratches – and Scout is more shy. It takes me more time to feel safe but when I do I love getting attention. Both of us also enjoy sitting on our person’s lap, though Scout needs time to build up her courage. However our human’s patience will be rewarded with loving snuggles from Scout and Jem’s huge purr!

We would be happiest in a quiet home with consistency and relatively low activity. Since we don’t like sudden movements and loud noises we probably wouldn’t want to live with dogs or young children. But with a patient, confident person who matches our chill, gentle, but silly vibe we would be the most devoted companions! Could that person be you?
