Frito was rescued from the Frito-Lay in Leesburg, FL, where she got her name. She is currently a stray and is very shy and timid. While she is easily frightened, she will allow gentle petting if she feels safe and unthreatened. Because she is not used to being handled, she may run away when scared, and picking her up is not recommended at this time.
When feeling cornered or overwhelmed-such as during a bath-she may react defensively. With patience, time, and a quiet environment, she has the potential to adjust and become a loving indoor cat.
We are looking for a professional rescue or an experienced individual who can give her the time and understanding she needs to feel safe. She is a sweet girl who is simply scared and would do best with someone willing to work at her pace. She uses the litter box but still needs consistency with that so you will have to work with her on that. Her babies will be up for adoption in the future, but for now this is for her. (Optional kitten too)
