MEET ASH💙
Ash is a young Border Collie mix, about 7 months old, with lots of energy who loves to play. He’s a smart boy who learns quickly, though he can be a little stubborn at times.
Ash is crate trained at night and does fairly well in the crate during the day. He is food motivated and making great progress with house training. Because of past trauma and being very underweight when found, he can show some resource guarding, so separate feeding is needed.
Ash’s Ideal Foster or Adoptive Home
• No cats — he’s curious and likes to chase
• Larger dogs are okay; small dogs may be overwhelmed by his energy
• Separate feeding required
• Loves being with his people and may do playful nipping when excited (typical Border Collie behavior)
• Needs an active home with a fenced yard so he has room to run and play.
Ash is a fun, energetic pup who will thrive with structure, activity, and love.

Since our formation in early 2013, we have helped save thousands of cats and dogs throughout Idaho from neglect, abuse, and death. Many of our rescues come from the Burley Idaho Animal Shelter where PAWS has transformed what was once a high kill facility to a shelter where every adoptable animal gets a second chance! PAWS also takes in stray pets from all over Idaho including Twin Falls, Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell. We work our very hardest to respond to every call for help!
PAWS Rescue, Inc. saves all breeds of cats and dogs of all ages as well as animals who have been hit by cars, shot, abandoned, abused, and neglected.
Rescued animals are placed in loving foster homes or transferred to other no kill partner facilities giving them a chance to find the perfect forever home. Our efforts give these deserving animals a second chance at a happy life.
Every animal receives veterinary evaluation and care, including spay/neuter and vaccines, as well as treatment for any other medical issue they may have. No animal is ever euthanized due to expense.
