If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We adopted Ethel in November 2019. She will be 7 years old in February 2026.
She is a very loving and active dog. She loves to play with kids and is not aggressive. She does often, 'bark at the wind' and has a shrill yip when she gets excited. She is an Alpha dog and likes to be in charge of the yard. She is very protective of her owners.
She seems to be housebroken (every time that we've kept her inside, cold weather, etc., she's let us know that she needs to go outside) although we've kept her outside due to shedding and her energy level.
We had to downsize on housing and cannot keep her where we now live. She is staying with our son who has a medium sized backyard.
