Milkshake is a petite gray tabby with a gentle soul and a story that has come full circle — twice. This sweet girl has been rescued by Midwest Pet Refuge not once, but two times, and we’re determined that her next chapter will truly be her forever.
We first saved Milkshake from a high-intake shelter when she arrived as a young stray with three even younger kittens. Though she was assumed to be their mother, she was really just another scared baby herself. She blossomed in our care and was adopted by a local family in April of 2024.
Recently, we received a call from a shelter over an hour away in Ohio — Milkshake had been found at someone’s back door and brought in. Thankfully, her microchip led them back to us. When the listed numbers went unanswered, one of our dedicated volunteers made the trip to bring her home.
Milkshake returned to us covered in fleas and suffering from a flea allergy, but she’s already on treatment and on the mend. Despite everything she’s been through, she remains a sweet, resilient little girl who just wants safety, comfort, and love.
She’ll be available for adoption again soon, and this time we are hoping — and advocating — for a truly committed, indoor, forever home that will cherish her for life. Milkshake has been bounced around enough. She deserves stability, kindness, and a family who will never let her go.
If you’re looking for a loving companion and are ready to give a deserving kitty the home she’s been waiting for, Milkshake may be the one. 💛🐾If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application. Completing a questionnaire on any other website does not submit an application to our rescue, you must complete one on our website. If you have any questions, please email us at adopt@MidwestPetRefuge.com
