Toblerone who is aptly named after a fancy Swiss chocolate is a very handsome 2-year-old who looks like an Australian Blue Heeler / Australian Kelpie/ Australian Shepherd blend.
Toby is a rescue from a high kill central California shelter, and you can only wonder how a wonderful pupper like Toblerone ended up homeless!
Toby is not only handsome, he’s gentle, intelligent, sweet, mellow, very well behaved, tolerant, affectionate, and polite. He never barks – he’s a perfect gentleman to everyone!
He’d make a perfect family companion and a best buddy for someone who camps, hikes, or just wants to stay at home with a smart best friend!
He’s wonderful with all other dogs – big ones and small ones, and he’s a gem with cats and kids.
Toblerone weighs about 40 – 45 pounds, so he’s a perfect medium size -- not so big that he’ll roll over you and not so small that you’ll trip over him.
Temperament: Intelligent, Energetic, Alert, Friendly, Loyal, Eager
Toby is completely house trained and crate trained, and his adoption covers his neuter and all his annual shots. Of course, we have his vet records to pass on to his new forever family.
I am a firm believer is having potential adopters take a pup home for a “sleepover” to see how your family, your other pets, and your new best buddy all get along. You can always take Toblerone home to see how he adapts, and we always take our rascals back if they aren’t a good fit.

We are a small, self-funded group of animal lovers. All of our pets are fostered in private homes, so they are social, outgoing, and healthy little rascals.
I have an application I can email to you, and a contract that says that you will love, cherish and care for your adopted companion animal. If for any reason you can't keep your new buddy, you must return him or her to me.
Of course, the adoption covers all shots, the spay or neuter, and whatever incidentals the rascal needs to be a healthy and happy buddy.

Go meet their pets
Each posting has the contact info for the correct foster, so pls contact the right person. I couldn't have all these rascals at my place, but my fellow-foster mommas are wonderful and they can tell you all about the rascals they are caring for.
I live in Ramona, and if you visit, you can meet my farm animals (I have my own petting zoo!) at the same time. I foster everything from hens to horses, and all of my critters have wonderful personalities and are well socialized with other dogs, cats, farm animals, and children.

More about this rescue
We are a small self-funded group of people who love animals - we consider them gifts to the earth and they deserve love, good health, care, and forever homes.
I rescue and foster dogs and cats, puppies and kittens -- even farm animals. I do this because I love these creatures and do not believe in breeding any animals. As long as these wonderful critters are already here, they deserve the best chance we can give them.
These lovely creatures are God's gifts, and I firmly believe animals are good for us -- imagine the smile a little rascal will put on your face after a rough day at the office or a tough commute home!
