My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✨ Meet Opal! ✨

This sweet girl just turned two on Christmas, and she is looking for the best gift of all: a forever home. Opal is a stunning dilute calico who defines the word "mellow."

While some cats are a whirlwind, Opal is a gentle breeze. She is exceptionally well-socialized and patient, making her the perfect fit for almost any home. Whether it’s kids, dogs, or other cats, Opal fits right in. She’s even been known to try and nap inside the guinea pig cage—she just loves everyone!

Why you’ll love her:
• Low Maintenance: She’s quiet, polite, and perfectly litter-box trained.

• Affectionate: She loves to be near her people and will happily claim your softest blankets.

• Polite: She only speaks up when it’s truly important (usually when her food bowl is empty or the door to her favorite nap spot is closed).

Opal is past the chaotic kitten stage and is ready to be your loyal, laid-back best friend.

More about this rescue

We help animals who are in need by placing them in a loving foster home, providing medical care, and finding the perfect home for that animal to live in for the rest of its life. Tails of Hope takes mainly dogs, but has occasionally helped other animals in need. We take animals in through shelters and other rescue organizations, as strays, or as owner surrenders from people in our local communities.
