Meet our special foster pup, Oreo! This one-eyed, 10-pound wonder is full of sweetness and charm. Despite facing numerous medical challenges, Oreo remains a resilient and spirited dog with a quirky personality that shines bright.
Oreo loves to explore her surroundings, play with her favorite toys, and bask in the warmth of the sun. She has a delightful habit of using her voice to express herself, whether it's to join in on the fun or let you know when she needs attention or she wants a moment of peace. Best of all, Oreo is crate-trained and follows a scheduled potty routine, making her an easy and delightful companion.
With her silly antics and affectionate nature revealing a heart full of love, Oreo is ready to find a forever home that appreciates her unique character and all the joy she brings! Are you ready to open heart to this one-of-a-kind dog?
From the Vet:
Oreo came to TBB while undergoing treatment for a skin infection. We have continued that treatment/management in rescue, but the good news is that she is well on her way to healing! She will be continuing on medication for any remaining discomfort (hopefully to be discontinued) as well as her medicated shampoo and omega-3 supplements. She has moderate dental disease and some fractured teeth that likely need extraction, so TBB is planning to get a dental surgery/cleaning performed on 12/30. She will have a freshly cleaned mouth to settle into her new adopters with! At most there are sometimes recommendations for a soft food diet (canned or soaked kibble) for short period after dental extractions, but most dogs recover very well and go back to eating regular kibble after that. Who can give Oreo the happy forever after she deserves?!

More about this rescue
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.
You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
