Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jack is a handsome Australian Cattle Dog (also known as a Blue Heeler). He loves attention and is incredibly smart for a 1-year-old pup so a home that can provide enrichment and socialization for this breed is important. Jack is about 40lbs, but looks smaller and he has a gorgeous merle coat. He is well mannered at the shelter and goes potty outside on his walks. Volunteers enjoy walking him and he shows off his knowledge of basic commands like sit. Jack does well with most dogs after he is properly introduced to them. He is a happy pup that would do well with many types of families including those with kids. Jack is vaccinated, microchipped and will be neutered soon before going home. To adopt Jack, complete an adoption application at AbandonedPetRescue.org

More about this shelter
Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.
APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
