My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Who's that handsome gentleman with the soulful eyes and irresistible charm? Why, it's Jeb!

At 12 years young, Jeb is proof that age is just a number. He still loves to explore his surroundings, keep tabs on what everyone is up to, and - most importantly - meet new people. In Jeb's world, new humans = more cheek and bum scratches, and he is always happy to make a new friend if it means extra affection is involved.

When he's not soaking up love in a cozy lap, Jeb has a real talent for finding the best nap spots. Sunbeam? Couch? Soft bed? He'll locate it, claim it, and snooze like a pro.

Jeb is also a self-proclaimed snack enthusiast... who just happens to be on a well-supervised weight-loss journey. He's currently enjoying a light diet and is looking for a loving home that will help cheer him on as he works toward his healthiest, happiest self. (Moral support encouraged - snacks in moderation, of course.)

If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate companion with a big heart and an even bigger love for cuddles, Jeb might just be your perfect match. 💕

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
