My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat through our Owner Placement Program. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Gigi is NOT in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home, but residing with her current owner in Roseville. Adoption fee applies.

Meet Gigi, a stunning cream-colored purebred Siberian with a luxurious triple coat and an even more beautiful personality. Gigi is confident, social, and truly loves her people. She happily greets you at the front door, enjoys being near you while you read or watch a movie, and will occasionally curl up in your lap. She's playful and athletic—able to leap high to catch a toy—and she especially loves high places and her lickable treats.

Gigi is not shy around guests and thrives on companionship and attention. She would do best in a home where people are around often, as she gets lonely when left alone for long periods.

After a move six months ago, Gigi has struggled to adjust to a busier, louder environment and has become increasingly stressed. The first month included ongoing construction, the home is much larger, and our family schedule and daily rhythm changed. From early on, she seemed increasingly stressed and agitated and never fully settled in. Over time, we noticed changes in her personality and behavior. She became less affectionate with us and with our other cat, whom she previously treated like her baby—grooming her daily and staying close. She stopped grooming her altogether and withdrew socially.

Despite many attempts to help her adapt, it's clear she misses a smaller, quieter home and needs a fresh start. Unfortunately, Gigi has struggled significantly to adjust to the new environment. This decision has been heartbreaking, for her owners, and comes from a place of deep love and concern for Gigi's long-term happiness and well-being.

Gigi would be happiest as the only pet, where she can truly be the queen of her domain. She would do well with older children who are gentle and respectful with cats. She is deeply affectionate, loves being adored, and is ready to bond closely with her new family. This sweet girl deserves a calm, loving forever home where she can feel safe, relaxed, and cherished again.

Gigi is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

She currently lives with her owner in Roseville.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Gigi please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Pam at cheemers@gmail.com. If you are unable to reach Pam please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Additional adoption info

READY TO ADOPT?
The first step in the adoption process for your new kitty is to submit an adoption application. The second step is to contact the foster home listed on the specific cat(s) or kittens you are interested in to find out more. Are you adopting a kitten? Kittens do best when they have a friend or two to grow up with! Kittens who grow up with another feline friend tend to be well-behaved, well-adjusted, and overall happier. Purebred Plus Cat Rescue kittens are typically adopted as pairs or as a single kitten to homes with an appropriate feline playmate. If you prefer only one kitten, we strongly encourage you to consider one of our wonderful older kittens or young adult cats that are available!

Go meet their pets

Our cats are neutered or spayed, vaccinated and FELV/FIV tested. We are not a shelter. All of our cats are fostered in private homes. The whole goal of the adoption process is to ensure the cat or kitten is a good fit for you, the adopter, and your environment. We are looking for the best fit NOT first come first serve. We always focus on what is the best for the cat or kitten.

When you adopt from Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue, you are saving TWO lives - the cat you adopt and the cat who gets to take its place in rescue!

More about this rescue

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is an all-volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, socialization, and rehoming of purebred and other exceptional cats and kittens into permanent homes. We are further dedicated to educating the public on the proper care of specific purebred breeds and the importance of spaying and neutering pets to control the animal population. We carefully match cats with their forever families by evaluating each cat's personality, temperament, and special needs.
