Here's what the humans have to say about me:
You may have heard the saying `A diamond is coal that did well under pressure”, but did you know that’s actually a myth?! The concept that immense pressure creates diamonds from coal is a powerful metaphor, but geologically inaccurate. Diamonds form about 90-110 miles below the Earth`s surface and require intense heat and pressure to crystallize. They’re brought to the surface by deep-source volcanic eruptions. Even if the old saying is false, we do see that beauty can come from difficult circumstances, even for dogs. Our sweet boy Coal came to the shelter as a very scaredy baby, but over the course of his stay, he’s blossomed into a playful, loving puppy! Here’s what one volunteer friend said:
“Coal is a very sweet young puppy. He knows “sit” and he is polite for leashing. He’s still very much an active, bouncy puppy. He really enjoys some good play in the yard with his kennelmate, mostly catch-me-if-you-can. Coal loves being petted. He really really loves treats. Lots of typical puppy behavior!”
Coal shares his kennel with another PACC pup and would like to meet any resident pups before heading home to ensure a good fit. While we’ve dashed the dreams of everyday coal ever becoming a diamond, we hope to keep Coal’s dreams of a loving family alive! We’re certain that once you meet him, your heart will melt from the warmth of his charm! Come meet him today!
