My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sushi a beautiful part Siamese with big round eyes, a velvety dark mask, and the kind of quiet presence that makes you want to whisper hello.

Sushi may be shy at first, especially in a new place. Think of Sushi as the “observe from a cozy corner” type who likes to take a moment to decide you are safe and worthy of friendship. Give this sweet kitty a calm home, gentle voices, and a little patience, and you will start to see the magic: slow blinks, soft purrs, and a growing curiosity that turns into real trust.

Once comfortable, Sushi blossoms into a tender, loyal companion who enjoys peaceful company and cozy routines. Whether it’s settling nearby while you relax or quietly keeping you company like a tiny shadow with whiskers, Sushi is the kind of cat who makes home feel calmer just by being there.

If you have a soft spot for shy cats and you love the idea of earning someone’s trust in the sweetest way, Sushi is ready to roll into your life and become your favorite comfort food.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
