Meet Zelda and Rey: the sweetest sister duo that has ever existed! They are 7-year-old siblings from the same litter and are a bonded pair, so they must be adopted together. Because of how they snuggle together, they are like yin and yang, completing each other. At their home, they both free fed and had very healthy self-control, but must be on a diet with no chicken, as Rey gets an upset tummy from chicken. Beyond this dietary need, they are very healthy girls.
Zelda is reported to be the social butterfly, always excited to meet new people and play. She loves to cuddle, loves to play with toys on strings that you can make “fly” for her, and lives her best life when her food bowls are full. Zelda loves to hunt, so if a bug ever gets into your home, she’s on it and will love to be celebrated once she catches it. One of her proudest moments was when she caught and killed a scorpion overnight: she danced around it victoriously and then ran to her food bowl, expecting a well-deserved reward. If you sit down on the sofa with a fluffy blanket, you can bet that Zelda will show up to make biscuits!
Rey is the shy girl who takes some time to warm up, but once she’s comfortable, all she wants are snuggles. Rey loves to curl up on the couch and purr on your tummy, and if you’re ever injured or sick, she gives extra purrs and cuddles to help you feel better. Rey is highly attuned to the emotions and health of everyone in the house, and will stress lick her her tail if she senses an illness. Her favorite toys are mouse toys that she can meow loudly at as she chases them around the house. She also adores watching birds out the window and chirps back at them!
Zelda and Rey are being rehomed as they are incredibly stressed growing up with a high energy toddler and being around high-energy dogs. They would do best with small dogs, or a big dog who is gentle and gives them lots of space. Zelda and Rey grew up with a yorkie and a malti-poo, and loved cuddling with them. While they are phenomenal with children, it would be the best fit for Zelda and Rey to go to a family with older/very calm and gentle children.
The adoption fee for this bonded pair is $175, which includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FELV, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. To meet Zelda and Rey, please call 602-971-1334 to schedule an appointment for any day of the week. Walk-ins are also welcome during our normal adoption hours on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Home Fur Good Animal Rescue is located at 10220 North 32nd Street, just south of Shea Blvd in Phoenix.

Home Fur Good has trained adoption counselors to review and question any potential problems/issues with application. We do require an adoption fee which ranges for dogs $150-$300 and for cats $50-$100. All cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked.
If another dog or dogs are present in the household we require a meet and greet prior to adoption. All members of the household must be on board with adoption. We do not adopt our rescues out without meeting person that will be responsible - no "gift" adoptions. We contract that if cat/dog must be relinquished they are returned to us. If there is a change of ownership we must be kept informed who responsible party is. Fees are non refundable.

More about this rescue
Home Fur Good is a non profit no kill animal shelter located in the NE Valley. We take a majority of our cats and dogs from County, many who have treatable medical conditions and would otherwise be put down. We assess physical and behavior and work with the cats/dogs to find the best suitable match. It is our goal that each cat or dog that comes to our shelter ultimately be placed in their "furever" homes.
We also operate a low cost vaccine and microchip clinic each Sunday. We want to help community be able to care for and keep their animals safe. We do not charge vet fee only fee for vaccine and microchip. Additionally we have a low cost dental clinic each Wednesday. Check our website for more details.
