And if a new human sits down anywhere near her… well, don’t even think about keeping that lap free. Dian will find it — expertly, politely, and immediately.
Her Story
Like her siblings Steve and Jacques Cousteau, Dian was found hidden in a bush behind a gas station parking lot, just steps from a fixed cat colony. She was far too young to survive on her own — barely able to walk — yet she came running and crying, trusting humans completely from the very beginning.
Dian and her siblings spent several days in a baby incubator learning to eat and thrive, and thanks to round-the-clock love, Dian blossomed into the confident, affectionate, and social kitten she is today.

Dian is a professional people-lover and social butterfly:
• Instantly makes friends with everyone — humans, cats, and dogs
• Will curl up in any available lap, even a stranger’s, like it’s been reserved for her all along
• Loves her siblings deeply, especially Hope and Jane, and always seeks out play and cuddles
• Raised as a bottle baby, so she’s incredibly well socialized and trusts humans completely
Her favorite sleeping positions?
• Stretching her tiny paws while napping
• Around your neck like a little scarf, purring softly
She is gentle, polite, and affectionate, and loves being petted, groomed, and cared for. Baths? Eye drops? Medicine? She’s a pro — she trusts humans fully and loves every second of attention.

Dian is one of the few female orange kittens — a rare gem in both color and personality. She is calm yet playful, gentle yet deeply affectionate, and always ready to curl up wherever love is available.
Why She’s a Little Legend
Named after Dian Fossey, this sweet girl embodies compassion, gentleness, and quiet strength. She may be small, but her love is immense, and she will melt your heart with every purr, cuddle, and perfectly timed lap occupation.
Dian is estimated to be 3 mo old as of Dec 26 2025 and fully vetted: neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, and microchipped. He tested negative for FIV, FeLV and heartworms.

Dian is a kitten and must be adopted with one of her siblings, foster friends, or into a home with another young or playful cat for companionship. She really loves his foster sister Hope but he will quickly make friends with any kitty! Here is some information about why we have this policy:
