Chester is currently in foster care in Houston,Texas
He is a low rider .. a Heinz 57 mutt .. he looks like a cross between a Scottish Terrier/Poodle/ Terrier
He is approx 4 yrs old and a very solid 57 lbs
He has been treated for heartworms and we usually find that the dogs test negative within 4 to 6 months
He is a happy boy and wants to be your best friend, he follows his foster everywhere and sleeps on the floor in her bedroom
He is crate trained and leash trained , he is pretty good on his house training , but can have a tendency to mark if there are other doggie smells around
He has buddies and loves to play with them in the yard ,especially the puppies, however , he does not like dogs trying to eat his food and will not tolerate alfa male dogs that try to intimidate him or bark at him and would do better with a female laid back companion or being a single dog
we adopt to experienced dog owners only
and no children
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccines including Rabies,Dhpp,Bordatella and Canine Influenza
all of our dogs are microchipped and on monthly preventatives for heartworms ,fleas/ticks and parasites
The adoption fee is $300

We require all adopters to fill out an initial application so that we can check references. We try to match our dogs with a family that fits the needs and individuality of our homeless pets. We work tirelessly to find the right homes with people who will love their pets for a lifetime. We do this through email, phone, and any other means of communication to ensure a good fit.

All animals in our program are fostered by individuals who keep the dog in their residence until it is adopted. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care.
