Lisa is a 6-year-old, calm and gentle dog who is looking for a loving new home through no fault of her own. She was given to my 84-year-old father to keep him company and quickly became a loyal, comforting presence in his life.
Lisa is incredibly sweet and devoted. She does not bark or jump and has a very peaceful, easygoing temperament. She may be a little nervous when meeting new people at first, but once she feels safe and gets to know you, she settles in and shows her loving, loyal side.
Sadly, on December 13th my father lost his home in a house fire. While both he and Lisa made it out safely, he now needs to move into an assisted living facility that does not allow dogs. This has made the difficult decision to find Lisa a new home necessary.
Lisa would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can continue to feel secure and loved. She has already proven what a wonderful companion she can be and would make a truly special addition to the right family.
