My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Sassy, your new best friend. She’s a four-year-old “super mutt” (German Shepherd seems to be the most dominant breed) that has tons of energy and love to give. She’s a great walking buddy, loves routine, and being with the people she loves. We rescued Sassy in July 2022. We have adored her & been able to accommodate her unique behavioral needs since then. However, now that we’ve begun having kids, it’s clear that she needs to be in a home without children.

Sassy’s unique behavioral issues are nuanced, so if you’re interested in her please reach out. However, to give you a picture: Sassy has separation anxiety, is slow to warm to new situations and new people, and takes Prozac daily. These things are manageable and we’ve seen a lot of success through medication and training, but she has not been able to adjust to life with our increasingly mobile baby.

Ideal Home: recently retired or someone who works from home, loves to be outside, and is experienced with anxious dogs.
