My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet 🌟Ashe🌟: A Loyal Protector Seeking His Perfect Match! 🐾
Ashe is a 3-year-old neutered male Great Pyrenees – a true devoted guardian with that classic Pyr Strong™ heart. He’s incredibly loving and protective with his family (you can trust him completely), but true to his breed, he’s wary of strangers and territorial around his home – strong instincts that make him an excellent protector.
He gets excited around chickens (needs a bit of focused training there) and shows some resource guarding, but with consistent, devoted guidance, these are easily workable – many Pyrs thrive with clear boundaries and positive reinforcement.
Ashe would shine brightest as a single-dog companion in an experienced home with secure fencing, room to patrol, and owners who understand and appreciate the independent Majestic Pyr™ nature.
If you’re ready to embrace the Pyr Mindset™ of commitment and training, Ashe will reward you with unwavering loyalty.

Additional adoption info

At Great Pyrenees Rescue Southeast, we believe every Great Pyrenees deserves a loving, compatible home where they can thrive as gentle family companions or vigilant livestock guardians. Our adoption process is thorough yet compassionate, designed to match our rescued dogs with adopters who understand the breed's unique needs—like ample space, patient training, and a calm environment. We serve the Southeast (GA, SC, NC, FL, AL, TN, and surrounding areas) and require all applicants to be 21+.

Our Commitment to You & Your New Pyr:

Health & Preparation: All adoptable dogs are vet-checked, dewormed, and receive at least one series of core vaccinations (rabies, distemper, etc.).

Sterilization: We spay/neuter the majority prior to adoption for health and population control. For working guardians, we make vet-guided exceptions with a strict no-breeding contract, refundable deposit, and 6-month follow-up.

Adoption Contribution: $300 covers care costs (vetting, transport, microchipping)—a suggested $25 reservation secures your match (non-refundable but transferable).

Trial Period: 2-week adjustment with our support; returns are welcome (fee waived for valid reasons).

We offer a surrender agreement if you need to return the PYR for any reason.

The Process (Takes 1–2 Weeks):
1. Submit Application: Fill out our simple online form —share about your home, experience, and why a Pyr!

2. Review & Chat: Our team assesses fit (e.g., fenced yard for safety) and schedules a virtual/phone interview.

3. Meet & Greet: Arrange an in-person visit (we travel within 50 miles; fees may apply beyond).

4. Home Visit: Quick, non-invasive check to confirm a safe setup.

5. Approval & Transport: Sign contract, pay contribution, and bring your Pyr home—we provide starter supplies and 30 days of follow-up support!
