Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hershey is a sweet 2-year-old mama cat, looking for a forever home for her and her playful 6-month-old kittens, Snickers (male) and Marshmallow (female).
Snickers and Marshmallow play hard and nap hard! Snickers is a bold explorer while Marshmallow checks things out more cautiously. Both love to chase toys on sticks or strings and will play until exhaustion!
Ever the loving mama, Hershey spends her days napping quietly or giving her babies luxurious baths, but she will engage in play time as well if there is an interesting toy moving about!
Snickers and Marshmallow are pretty energetic in true kitten style, chasing each other or knocking toys around at any given hour of the day or night! Hershey is a little less wild but does engage in some play on her own, and even joins in with the kittens sometimes.
The whole family likes to look out the windows or nap on a cozy chair or in a spot of sunlight.
They do take some time to warm up to new people, but once they do, they just adore being petted. True gourmets, these cuties live for dinner-time and tend to sit back on their haunches like little gophers when they smell the good food coming!
This adorable family currently lives in a single-family house with 4 humans and 6 resident cats.
They will thrive in a home that will keep them safely indoors with lots of toys and cat trees to climb and scratch, along with windows to bask in the warm sun.
This is a precious little family of previously stray cats. They were trapped and brought to their foster family where they started out being very fearful of humans but have come a long way. They are now experiencing all of the benefits of a cozy, loving home where they can get plenty of affection. They are still not ""lap cats"" yet, but they are well on their way as they now truly love and appreciate human attention.
Hershey, Snickers, and Marshmallow will just need a family who is patient with them while they warm up to their new people and environment. If you’re ready for a Halloween present that’s all treats, with no tricks, please consider giving these sweeties a place in your home and your heart.
Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Please fill out Pet Haven’s adoption application: http://bit.ly/2fd9U2Fpethavenmnwww..org/adopt.
All ages and breeds are a best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow-up visits.

Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

How We Help

Phoenix Fund for Special Needs: Providing veterinary care for animals in need of healing
What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
