Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Livvy - a 14-week ORANGE girl who is just as darling as she is sweet and affectionate. She is all things sunshine and rainbows and embodies the most affectionate joyous spirit.
Livvy girl is an absolute delight. There just aren’t words to describe how absolutely precious she is, both inside and out. She follows her foster humans around like a little shadow, and is always down for an adventure. In meeting new people, she needs just a few minutes to warm up and feel comfy, but once she does, her precious personality shines through and lights up the room and all of the souls in it.
Liv had a tough couple weeks in Pet Haven care as she battled some stubborn parasites and kitty colds (she’s all better now!). As such, she had to take a couple week course of twice daily medicines, car rides, trips to the vet and diligent care. This made Livvy resilient.
She made immediate friends with the resident cat and enjoys sniffing and running around with the big resident dog she lives with, too. Livvy is truly the most amazing, go-with-the-flow girl, and brings nothing but joy to every moment her foster parents spend with her.
Not only is she friendly, but she’s oh soooooo snuggly. She loves to jump up in bed and nuzzle up to my shoulder where she gently places her two little paws and drifts off to sleep with the most heartwarming purr. When she’s not snuggling or following us or Rogue around the house she *loves* to play. Livvy likes to meticulously pluck them out of her toy bin one by one and then whichever couple she deems her “favorite of the day” she will walk over and place in her cat bed to snuggle with. One of my favorite parts of the day is walking upstairs when I get home from work and seeing which toys she’s chosen to put in bed to snuggle with. It’s the cutest thing ever.
Because Livvy is a young, friendly kitten, she needs to be adopted into a forever home with either another Pet Haven kitten, or into a home with a young friendly resident cat who she can bond with! She is such a friendly girl and gets such fulfillment out of her relationship (and snuggles) with the young cat in her foster home.
Truly, without exaggeration, Livvy is the best kitten. She is nothing but joy and is going to fill her forever home with equal amounts of smiles and love. While she might need a couple minutes initially to feel comfortable and at ease, once she gets to know you, she loves nothing more than melting into a cozy embrace. To know Livvy is to love Livvy, and I can’t wait to introduce her to you! She’d love to grace your home with her joyous spirit this holiday season.

Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

Our Vision

Our Values
Excellence in service and care; community; integrity; innovation; perseverance; compassion; a rewarding place to volunteer
How We Help
Spay/Neuter Initiative Program: Providing support to end pet overpopulation in Minnesota
Owner Surrender: Providing a safe haven for pet owners

Phoenix Fund for Special Needs: Providing veterinary care for animals in need of healing
What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
