This helps Labradors and Friends Dog Rescue Group with pet care costs.
Foster or forever home wanted, meet Juniper. Juniper is yet another one of those stories we hear far too often. Owner surrenders a lactating momma dog and litter of puppies to the shelter because they do not want to care for them or have the responsibility of finding the puppies homes. All the puppies are adopted from the shelter, and the momma dog is left behind.
Juniper developed an ear infection and while the shelter did the best they could to treat them, they couldn't get it under control. Sadly, with the current overcrowding in the shelters and low foot traffic, Juniper was in trouble and at risk of losing her life. Luckily, the rescue coordinator reached out to us and the day Juniper was slated for euthanasia, asked us if we could please make room for her in the rescue. The staff spoke very highly of her and said she was a sweet, friendly girl. Enough said, Juniper got a freedom ride just after Christmas!
Since Juniper is new to the rescue, we are still getting to know her. Once we learn more about her, we'll update her bio to add details. If Juniper sounds like a dog you'd like to meet, please go to labradorsandfriends.org to fill out an application. Juniper is located in Southern California.
