If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Ebony is a playful, energetic, sweet 1 year old 30lb girl. She is house trained, doesn’t chew anything except the toys given to her, and is very well emotionally regulated as in she does not bark upon separation (Doggy gold medal!). My kids love her. She likes to greet by standing on hind legs and putting paws on you.
Originally from Indiana, she made her way to NYC through Best Friends adoption clinic. Ambiguous language in the lease on pets plus wishful thinking apparently don’t mix and landlord said no. We live in the outskirts of nyc so I felt we would have been an ideal placement however she is anxious around any loud street noises from delivery truck, garbage truck, lawn mowers, etc. Despite our neighborhood being relatively quiet by NYC standards it is still a bit much on her. She was placed on anti anxiety med while being fostered in downtown Manhattan (loud noises) so adopter needs to consult with vet to taper them down if needed.
