If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Sugar was abandoned by her owner. She is a very loving dog and has never met a stranger. Her favorite thing in the world are car rides! I think she would pick to live in a car if she could.
Sugar needs a back yard where she can stand and roam leisurely. She wants to be outside all the time, but she does not like to be walked. It’s adorable, but she just wants to sit and look around.
Unfortunately, cats are not safe around Sugar and she needs to be in a cat free environment.
She’s picking up potty training, but appears to come from an outdoor-only home.
Sugar is very strong. A gentle giant (unless you are a cat).
I think she is mixed with a Corgi or Bulldog breed as she is shin-level in height and all muscle.
She does not have any known health concerns.
She does have food aggression and needs to be monitored closely around any other dogs. Sometimes her eagerness for treats/bones can cause unintentional nipping, but she shows promising signs with training and support.
