Bodie is a house-trained, affectionate dog. He has no special needs and eats Purina One happily, though he loves an occasional dollop of cottage cheese or left-over meat (which only goes into his bowl, never from the table. He LOVES to run an is excellent with recall, especially with a treat.
I adopted him during COVID in 2020, and he really helped me through it. I walk him at least twice a day, which he loves. He'd go on walks all day if possible...never seems to get tired. Loves long hikes.
Never pees or poops in the house, even when he's alone for up to six hours.
Barks at strangers and then settles down. Good with other dogs, Doesn't play fetch but sometimes herds other dogs who are doing so. Walks well on a leash but sometimes pulls.
The reason I'm surrendering him is two-fold: I have a new grandson and my son doesn't like dogs, especially with his baby; and as a recent retiree, I'm traveling a lot.
