My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chico is a one-year-old sweetheart with a playful spirit and an even bigger heart. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and children and has a gentle, affectionate nature. When it comes to cats, he’s still learning not to chase them, but he has shown no aggression and is doing well so far. Chico truly doesn’t realize how big he is—he loves curling up in laps and cuddling whenever he can.
Eager to please, Chico is making great progress with potty training and is already crate trained and leash trained. He enjoys playtime, plenty of affection, and staying close to his people, making him an excellent companion for an active yet loving home. Chico loves being part of the action and will happily soak up all the attention you’re willing to give.

Additional adoption info

We try to find homes that are out of state due to the over population of unwanted and abandoned animals in Texas. We check at least 2 references, vet references, and do social media searches on adopters. We do not adopt a pet out unless cleared by our rescue.

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)3 rescue dedicated to addressing the pressing issues of stray cats and dogs in Ladonia and surrounding areas. We embark on a mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need. We are a foster based rescue only and are located in the country with a never ending problem with animals being dumped in our county. We also assist the community with getting their pets spayed and neutered to help with the over population of unwanted animals. We operate strictly on donations and fundraising.
